Hit me twice, shame on me.
Any women who doesn't press charges when her husband/boyfriend/whatever hits her, seriously -- how many times will it take before she decides enough is enough?
If she doesn't want to press charges, or refuses to testify or bails him out after he is arrested, what is the point of even bothering?
It's the children that suffer in a situation like this. They grow up thinking it's okay for a man to hit his wife.
So shame on her for not wanting to press charges or have him in jail. Seriously???
Doing something means risking having no home to stay in, risking being ostracized by the community, and be at risk for retribution from his buddies.
The solution is to have well-supported shelters where people like this can take the kids to and get help in becoming independent and secure. Not criticize them for not knowing who to turn to.
Always an excuse for staying, never a good one.
