Talmadge Roberts (2-6-12)

WINDER – Talmadge Roberts, 77, died Monday, February 6, 2012.

Born in Watkinsville, the was the son of the late Clifford and Maudie Belle Self Roberts. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann “Dot” Metcalf Roberts.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Gene and Teresa Roberts, Hull, Ed Roberts, Monroe and Jerrell Roberts, Winder; daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Chad Brown, Winder; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 9, from the Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Matt Calvert officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, February 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
