Wall ousted from Winder clerk’s position; Andrews named new city clerk

Controversial Winder City Clerk Sabrina Wall was removed from her job this week by the Winder City Council. In a called session Tuesday night, the council voted unanimously to appoint Gloria Andrews as the new city clerk. Andrews has been the assistant city clerk since October 2007.

The move comes four months after the council learned that Wall had taken action to challenge the voting rights of nearly 40 percent of the city’s voters. The subsequent fallout helped unseat former Mayor Chip Thompson and was reportedly one of the reasons Wall wasn’t retained as clerk for the new city administration.

The move should save the city some money as Wall had a total compensation package topping $110,000. Her base pay of $75,500 was the fifth highest in the city and was above the state average for a city the size of Winder.

You must be confused with another Sabrina Wall. The one in this article is not the person youo are describing.

She has always been self centered and a waste of her salary. Only charities I know she ever was involved in were the ones that Winder paid for and she just went to the parties.
