Barrow County deputies arrested the second of two brothers who were caught on videotape by the victim of an attempted armed robbery last week in an Athens Kroger parking lot.

Michael Anthony Fulcher, 33, of Bogart, is in the Barrow County Detention Center on local charges of forgery for having a white copied Church’s Chicken check with the (pay to the order of) blanked out and a failure to appear warrant out of Winder. He also faces a felony armed robbery charge in Oconee County.

According to a Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Barrow deputies were advised by Oconee County investigators to look for Fulcher at the Quail Valley Duplex Apartments off Parks Mill Road in Auburn on Jan. 25, a week after Fulcher’s younger brother, Timothy Shane Fulcher, 29, turned himself in to Oconee County authorities Jan. 17.

Fulcher told deputies he knew he was wanted by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and that he hadn’t turned himself in yet because he was scared.

Deputies found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine in the apartment and arrested three other people: William Lawrence Stockton, 18, of Loganville, Tabitha Nichole Bernstein, 21, of 137 Quail Valley Road Apt. B, Auburn and Kristi Denise Lance, 33, of 35 Mount Moriah Road, Auburn.

The video of the Fulcher brothers attempted robbery can be found on the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and a timeline of events leading up to the Fulcher brothers' arrests.

According to that timeline, the victim reported to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office that on the previous date he met two individuals in the Kroger parking lot to purchase electronic items. The victim wore a video camera to record the transaction, thus capturing video footage of the Fulcher brothers attempting to rob him. The victim provided the video to Sheriff's Office investigators. While the video was being posted to Facebook page to seek the public's assistance in identifying the suspects, a subsequent deputy saw the video and recognized one of them, which lead to the identification of the second suspect.

Seems to me that if this victim would have used a 44 instead of a video camera, these thugs would not be sucking up tax dollars sitting jail.

hippie?LOL - And you know how the judicial system works right? Apparently not. Please share with us how you would have handled this and found him sooner then "NINE days". Cant wait to hear response. I am VERY familiar with this case and can tell you he WAS NOT under their noses for NINE days. He had just arrived at this location that day. How Oconee found out before Barrow was Oconee had his brother in custody, not Barrow. Ill let you figure out how Oconee found out where he was smart guy. Start thinking before you speak.

WOW, Learn to read, where does it say ANYWHERE in this artical that he was found near the WB Airport? IT DOESN'T!!!!! Which means 1. you must know this guy, so well you helped hide him for NINE days near the WB airport or 2.that this is actually him. Your truly a GREAT citizen of Barrow County. Oh, by the way, not a deputy at BCSO. Nice try though smart guy. By the looks of it, I am sure you are VERY familier with ALL of the deputies in Barrow County, as well as the Jail staff. Thanks for keeping us Law Enforcement officers employed.

Folks, I wish to hell you would get off the spell check issue. Lots of people text with their smart phone and either the automatic spell checker changes the word or like my phone, the digital keyboard is so small and my fingers are so large, that mistakes are easy to make..

Who cares if a word is mispelled. If you can make out what the posters intent is, so be it. More than likely, it has nothing to do with a persons ability to spell. However, I did not make all A+'s in spelling and will from time to time make a mistake. When typing on Word or other work processors, they have a spell checker. This blog does not and I have no intent to write my post on a piece of paper and spell check every work prior to posting live. Get off the damn spelling.
