Gwinnett County took the brunt of power outages due to storms that rushed through three counties in north Georgia Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, a Jackson EMC representative said.
At 11 p.m. Tuesday, Barrow County had one power outage that affected 17 customers, according to Bonnie Jones with Jackson EMC. The two-hour total outage was in the Georgia Club area of Statham. It was due to a blown fuse because of a fallen limb on a line.
