Swearing-in of Winder mayor and council set Jan. 5

Mayor-elect David Maynard and the three Winder council candidates who prevailed at the polls in November will take their oaths of office Jan. 5.

The 6 p.m. ceremony at the Winder Community Center is open to the public.

Longtime councilman Charlie F. Eberhart, who beat back a legal challenge to his city residency, will be taking his fifth oath of office.

At-large councilman Larry Evans, who served a partial council term from 2006-2007, will be sworn in for his first full term.

Ward 4 councilman Travis Singley, a newcomer to politics, will replace Frank Dunagan, who after five years of service decided not to run.

So when is Sabrina's last day ? She disliked David Maynard so much I figured she had given her resignation.

Oh no, she, in her typical fashion, will suck up to him and lie and say how happy she is that he is now the mayor. However, I believe David is smart enough to see through it.
