Well-known Winder attorney Bill Healan Jr. died Monday morning at an Atlanta area health care facility following a lengthy illness.
Healan was associated with Healan Law Offices, P.C. He also was the former attorney for Barrow County and a former District 3 commissioner on the Barrow County Board of Commissioners.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Healan, of Winder; sons William D. Healan III of Jackson County and Michael Healan of Winder; daughters Cynthia Healan Robarge of Greer, S.C., and Erin Healan Kendall of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; seven grandchildren; brother Jerry Healan of Auburn and sister Peggy Reynolds of Winder.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Smith Funeral Home. The funeral service is at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, in Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Wally Hostetter officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
