The City of Auburn must vote on re-certifying its designation of Georgia Municipal Association's “Certified City of Ethics" at its Thursday council meeting Dec. 15.
Similar to other neighboring cities that have adopted the GMA resolution, such as Braselton and Flowery Branch, Auburn officials must subscribe to five ethical principals:
•Serve others, not ourselves
•Use resources with efficiency and economy
•Treat all people fairly
•Use the power of our position for the well being of our constituents
•Create an environment of honesty, openness and integrity

Mike - The City of Auburn became a Georgia Certified City of Ethics in 2008. Cities must be re-certified every four years to retain that designation.
