A proposed change to Braselton’s future land use plan for a property on Ga. Hwy. 124 in Barrow County will be heard by the town’s planning commission next month.
The Braselton Planning Commission was slated to hear a request by Don Panoz for the 61.8-acre property on Monday, but the request will instead be considered in August. With no other items on the agenda, the Braselton Planning Commission will not meet on Monday night.
Panoz is asking Braselton to amend its future land use designation of the property from general commercial/business and high-density, single-family residential to light industrial/warehouse.
The property was designated for commercial and residential use in 2007 for a proposed townhouse, office and retail project. That proposal was later withdrawn.
Fountainhead Development, LLC is the property owner.
