A container company plans to build two manufacturing facilities in Barrow County, according to plans.
Schuetz Container Systems, Inc., New Jersey, submitted plans for a project on Ga. Hwy. 316 that will include 583,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 10,000 square feet of office space.
The first phase of the project will include a building totaling 247,000 square feet; the second phase will include a building with 336,000 square feet. The facilities will also include trucks docks and rail service.
The plans are under review as a Development of Regional Impact (DRI).
Schuetz Container Systems plans to complete the project in October 2014, according to plans. Dorsey Hutchins and James Murphy are the property owners.
