The City of Auburn unanimously approved a resolution to adopt a millage rate of 4.931 mills. City clerk Rafael Avalos made the recommendation at a city council meeting Thursday, Oct. 6, at city hall.
This will be the fourth year in a row the city council has voted to keep taxes below five mills.
OTHER ACTION
In other action, the Auburn City council unanimously approved:
•a motion to include the stormwater billing fee to be included on the city’s property tax bills.
•a motion to approve the downtown overlay district architectural design guide.
•a motion to enter into an agreement with VC3 for a 10MB MPLS Connection from Auburn to Atlanta for $550 per month.
•a motion to enter into an agreement with Spirit Communications for a 10MB MPLS Connection from Atlanta to South Carolina for $950 per month.
After a 45-minute executive session to discuss property and litigation, the council did not take any action.
