The City of Auburn is holding its Great American Cleanup event Friday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.and Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
The city is collecting: batteries, cell phones, motor oil, eye glasses (for Lion’s Club), scrap metal, cameras, radios, electronics, ink cartridges, antifreeze (in labeled containers) and other "junk" – usable or not.
Tire drop offs cost between $2-$5, depending on size.
Items that cannot be accepted are paint, paint thinner, cooking oil, construction materials and yard waste.
