For the fourth year in a row, the Barrow County Airport Authority approved a budget that costs the taxpayers almost nothing and bolsters the county coffers significantly.
Due to continued troubled economic times in the aviation industry, the 2012 budget is exactly the same as the 2011 budget, with the exception of four relatively minor line items. One is the allotment of $3,000 for fiscal audit fees because, as of 2011, the county requires authorities to pay for their own audits. Previously Barrow County paid.
