Barrow BOE to discuss charter schools

The Barrow County Board of Education has called a meeting for Thursday, July 31 at 6 p.m. to discuss charter schools.

The meeting will be held at the Barrow County Schools Professional Development Center and Central Offices, 179 W. Athens Street, Winder.

I hope people pay close attention to this.
A charter school is still a government school. The difference is, in a charter school, the parents do all the work. Yes, the education is better, but it is because the parents invest themselves into the process.
Barrow County parents will have to put their children first, not their careers and "keeping up with the Jones'" if this is going to work.
I hope it does.
