Barrow County firefighters extinguished a garage fire in the 1100 block of Emperor Lane in Hoschton Thursday afternoon.
Lt. Scott Dakin with Barrow County Emergency Services reports that operators received a 911 call alerting authorities of the fire just before 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.
A resident discovered the fire. It is believed to have started in the area of a recently repaired golf cart. According to Dakin, the scene was left intact for further investigation.
First arriving firefighters found smoke showing from the garage. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and were able to knock the fire down very quickly, said Dakin.
Engines 4 and 5, Ladder 7, Med 6 and Battalion 1 responded to the call.
This is because danny dumbwood wants to cut public safety out of the budget.
Thankyou firemen for everything you do for us every day
