Fatal car wreck involved Auburn woman

An Auburn woman was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on I-85 in Gwinnett County, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The wreck occurred Aug. 28 just before 12:30 p.m. at I-85 southbound near Duluth Highway.

Jennifer Cakora, 47, of 194 Carl Cedar Hill Road in Auburn, was driving a Ford Explorer SUV southbound on I-85 near Duluth Hwy when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the median wall before being ejected. Cakora was transported from the accident scene and later died as a result of her injuries at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Authorities believe speed was a factor in the collision.
