City of Auburn employees will propose plans for a city-endorsed Sept. 11 memorial event to the mayor and city council Thursday night.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States that included attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
This item is first on the agenda at the July 21 meeting following citizen comments, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.
Other items to be discussed at Thursday’s meeting include:
• a proposal for the purchase of infield materials for Parks Mill by public works and parks and leisure employees.
• a proposal from city planner Larry Lucas for a sidewalk design and conceptual drawings for a streetscape at 4th Avenue and Mt. Moriah Road. This item was carried over for reconsideration from the city’s last council meeting.
• a proposal to amend a contract for the city solicitor position by the Auburn Police Chief.
