Double stabbing suspect in jail

Authorities found the man believed to have stabbed two people just before midnight July 18. The suspect, 45-year-old Manuel Angelo Finch, was sitting in a living room in a Turk Road, Bethlehem, residence. When deputies told the homeowner they were looking for Finch, they were let in. Finch was taken into custody, was questioned by investigators and taken to the Barrow County Detention Center where he currently remains without bond.

Finch is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, four counts of cruelty to children 3rd degree, two counts of possession of a knife during commission of a crime and criminal trespass.

For more than four hours last night Barrow County Sheriff's deputies sought Finch, whom they believed to be armed and dangerous after a man and a woman were stabbed Monday night in Winder.

According to Barrow County Sheriff's sergeant Ryan Sears, when deputies arrived on scene just before 7 p.m. in reference to a double stabbing at 241 Eastbrook Drive in Winder, they were told that the suspect fled on foot.

The victims were transported to the Barrow Regional Medical Center and are in stable condition. Sears said the sheriff's office is not going to release the names of the victims at this time.
