Barrow County BOE to vote on five items tonight

The Barrow County Board of Education will vote on the following recommendations at tonight’s regular meeting at 7 p.m.
•a bid to purchase Mimio interactive board technology from Howard Computers in the amount of $13, 797.
•approval of an easement request from Georgia Power for the new high school.
•changes to policy regarding medication.
•changes to policy regarding nepotism.
•approval of an easement and to allow for the erection of a historical marker at the intersection of King Street and Wood Avenue.
The BOE will also go into closed session following the meeting to discuss real estate and personnel.
