Auburn's Parks and Leisure Commission approves FY2012 budgets

The City of Auburn Parks and Leisure Commission approved two proposed FY2012 departmental budgets at a special called meeting Tuesday night.

The commission approved a tentative $159,800 budget in the Parks and Leisure department and a tentative $58,000 special events budget for the city.

Under the new leadership of Parks and Leisure Director Gary Schussler, the proposed budget for parks and leisure reflects increases in pay for regular employees along with other expenses. Schussler went over every proposed increase with the commission, detailing his purpose for the changes.
