After reading the headline, I am left to wonder why a new high school needs renovations...

Maybe you should reread the definition of "humor".

Humor is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. I tend to appreciate humor that involves thought. For those that don't, The Three Stooges is about to come on. Be sure and tune in...

While we try to bloviate and show how smart we are our BOE is dumping tens of thousands of dollars into and abandoned school building to serve 100 or so of the students in our system that should better learn in a "non traditional setting". Someone please tell me if this setting is so good then why the HECK doesnt our school system just switch ALL schools to this format. Truth is they are "creating" another school for students to attend in fear of failinng AYP once again. Here's a challlenge for you to report on.. Get the total costs of our taxpayer dollars and divide it by the # number of students that actually attend. That will wake you up.

To me the entire idea stinks. Where are these 10 full time teachers coming from? Are they any of the ones that lost there jobs at the end of last school year?? It just seems that the BOE wants to give the 4.0 kids a place of their own which will just make the rest of the kids left at AHS and WBHS look like dummies.
