Several Barrow County nonprofit groups have had their tax-exempt status revoked by the IRS for failing to file annual reports for the three years of 2007-2009.
Among the groups cited by the IRS is the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce and a host of other volunteer organizations. While the IRS form indicates the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce had its non-profit tax-exempt status revoked, chamber director Tommy Jennings told the Barrow Journal Wednesday morning it was the group’s scholarship fund.
The groups can have their status reinstated retroactively if they take action soon.Among the organizations cited by the IRS as having lost their tax-exempt status are:
WINDER
American Postal Workers Union
Apalachee Hardball Booster Club, Inc.
Barrow County Art Association
Barrow County Chamber of Commerce
Church Women United in Georgia
Creative Family Solutions Inc.
Dr. Richard F. Graves Memorial
Fuel Ministries Inc.

Yeah, gear up the black market, protect rich folks from paying taxes, sock it to the poor. No reputable economist endorses this silly shell game. No major Dem. or Rep. endorses it. But, rich hypocrites like Boortz and a lisping back-bencher like Linder pimp, pimp, pimp the "fair tax" lie. Bottom line, lying loons, it will NEVER come to fruition, even under a gay-hating theocrat like Bachmann.

maybe it's just time for the Barrow Chamber to keep their ducks in a row...dot their i's...cross their t's...file the proper paperwork and stop spending all of their time telling themselves and all of us how great they are.
