Dead woman found in parked car

A Barrow County Sheriff’s Deputy found a deceased female in a vehicle early Tuesday morning in the Pet Smart parking lot of the Barrow Crossings Shopping Center.

The deputy discovered the woman on Tuesday at around 2 a.m. The coroner was notified and it was determined no foul play was involved, Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said Wednesday.

The female was taken to the GBI crime lab to determine the cause of death.

The coroner is not releasing her name right now because all of the family has not been notified yet.

Smith said Pet Smart employees told authorities that the vehicle had possibly been parked there since Sunday evening.

It had been parked since Sunday and it took them till Tuesday to realize there was a dead body in the car?

how many cars are in that parking lot ? I would assume that someone saw it at closing and then didnt think anything of it since alot of people leave their cars parked overnight. Prayers out to the family.

Well, I wouldn't blame the BCSO either... They have their hands full, I would say a that to assist them and better serve the area the City should go ahead an annex across 316 so that both agencies will be available to patrol and protect this area, the city seems to be a better option, less square miles to cover.
