The city of Auburn is close to hosting its first farmer’s market for the season. Beginning on Wednesday, June 15th, residents can look forward to perusing a varied selection of items from local vendors.
Downtown Development Coordinator, Sherrie Miller, said that vendors are encouraged to participate with fresh fruits and vegetables, herb and landscaping plants and handmade products such as lotions, soaps, candles and baskets. She also said that anyone who may have surplus produce in their backyard gardens are more than welcome as vendors.
“It’s a great way to make some extra income, and the perfect place for socializing with enthusiastic shoppers,” Miller pointed out.
Following the June 15th opening, the Auburn Market will run every Wednesday until September 26th. Times will be from 3-7 p.m. each week at the R.H. Burel Park Pavilion on Mt. Moriah Road in downtown Auburn.
