The City of Winder Police Department is looking for any information in connection to an armed robbery that occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at the KFC restaurant located at 180 W. Athens Street in Winder.
The suspect was captured on store surveillance video and is described as a black male in his early to mid thirties, approximately 6” tall, with a thin build, wearing all dark clothing and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
The suspect brandished a knife and pushed an employee into an office while he took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store's safe. He then cut the store phone line and took the employee;s cell phone and left the building. The suspect may also have a slight limp when he walks.
