Jospeh Lindtner used to live in Joplin, Missouri and he still has ties there, so he is conducting a clothing drive here in Barrow County in the hopes of gathering a load to take to Joplin.
"I'm doing this because you have to lose everything to realize what you had," he said. "I have friends out there and they can use all the help they can get right now."
Lindtner's goal is to fill a pick-up and a 10-foot trailer with clean, new or gently used clothing of all types - "from head to foot and anywhere in between." He is collecting shoes, shirts, gloves, socks, undergarments, pants, hats, etc. The clothing must be boxed - no bags; and, for the sake of the flood victims, needs to be in good, instantly usable shape. Lindtner will pick up the items and can be reached at 770-570-8838.
He plans to leave as soon as he "gets a load together" which he hopes will be by the end of next week. He said he could also use a "sponsor" to help with gas money, if anyone is so inclined.
