On the other hand, I have to comment on the behavior of those adults in attendance since we are an example to our children. Many people got up during the ceremony and began to leave after the name of their loved one was called. This should complete disrespect for the other students waiting to receive their diplomas as well as family/friends members waiting for their child's name to be called. Those of you who left early, blocked the view of others and created a disruption in the stands. The chatter was so loud, we couldn't hear the speaker. Do you not realize how rude you were behaving??? Is this what you teach your children? It's just plain trashy behavior and mirrors what you really are. These kids worked hard to graduate. Each one, including the last graduate on the program list, deserves the respect and attention from the viewing audience. So just in case your mama didn't teach you any better... if you can't stay and sit quietly until the end of graduation, please don't come. For those of you who stay, please sit quietly.
I will say when they said at AHS, out of the 300 graduates, almost a 1/3 were honors ! Way to go grads and good luck
