The Auburn City Council will review steps in the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH) redevelopment plan at its work meeting Thursday, May 19. Adoption of a redevelopment plan will make the city eligible for grants and low-interest loans to finance public and private projects.
The city has already held one public hearing, along with an information meeting for property owners. Two more public hearings are slated for Thursday, May 26, and Thursday, June 2, before the council holds votes to approve the draft.
