The Barrow County government Charter Review Committee will hold its first public hearing Tuesday night in Auburn. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Auburn City Hall and is designed for public input.
The final two seats of the committee have been filled and the schedule of its public meetings has been finalized, according to Ray Newman, chairman of the group.
Former Braselton Mayor Pat Graham and Barrow County Republican Party Chairman Ken Young both accepted the committee’s request that they serve on the panel, he said.
The committee, at the request of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners, is reviewing the legislation that governs the operation of Barrow County’s government.
