The roar of motorcycle engines will be heard throughout Barrow County this Saturday as riders take to the streets in support of sexual violence victims and survivors.
The April 30 “Ride to Survive” benefit will be the sixth ride organized by the Piedmont Rape Crisis Center.
Riders will begin at the Winder Moose Lodge Saturday morning and follow a scenic, approximate 60-mile route through the county, led by law enforcement escorts. The caravan will finish their journey at the Lodge, which is a co-sponsor for the event, and the participants will enjoy lunch and live music by Georgia Clay and Velvet City Mercy.
The cost for each rider’s entry is $20, and $10 for each passenger.
