Winder Fire Department and Barrow County authorities put out a fire Easter Sunday at the historic Sanctuary of the Holy Spirit located at 71 W. Candlar Street in Winder.
The call for the fire came out just after 11 a.m. The fire, which was found in the basement of the church, was small and did not spread to the rest of the building.
Authorities contained the fire by 1:30 p.m. and officials rendered the building safe. No injuries were reported.

Three cross streets were blocked, 4 fire trucks and a crane that could be seen miles away and all it ended being was a "small" fire? Wow, I'd hate to see a BIG fire in downtown Winder.
