Eight charged with fighting, battery

Eight people were charged last week by the Winder Police Department for fighting, battery, family violence and other related acts. Those charged were:

•Ernest Cooper, 57, 153 Wood Circle, Winder; transactions in imitation controlled substances prohibited, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, disorderly conduct, possession of drug related object.
•Brandon Steve Higgins, 18, 38 Village Court, Winder; aggravated battery.
•Steve Reggie Higgins, 42, 38 Village Court 144, Winder; aggravated battery.
•Dwayne Troup, 48, 120 Second Street, Winder; false imprisonment family violence – no contact, battery family violence – no contact, parole violation.
•Tiffany Marshelle Jackson, 21, 220 Capital Avenue, Winder; reckless conduct, fighting in public place, warrant out of jurisdiction.
•Tiffanie Marie Martin, 24, 269 Nunn Street, Commerce; public drunkenness, disorderly conduct.
•Justin Antonio Burton, 21, 1747 Miller Spring Drive, Bethlehem; disorderly conduct.
•Joe Louis Rouse, Jr., 30, 120 Northridge Drive, Winder; simple battery.
