Car fire damages home

Five people were displaced from their home Monday after their car caught fire inside the garage of their house.

Barrow County fire and EMS officials responed to a home on Red Oak Way to find the home’s garage on fire. The fire was contained to the garage and attic area, but the home had smoke damage throughout.

Two adults and three children were affected by the fire, although nobody was injured.

A 1999 For Expedition was believed to be the source of the blaze, officials said.
