The unemployment rate in Barrow County fell in February to 10.2 percent, down from 10.9 percent in January.
According to state data, some 3,468 people in Barrow County were unemployed in February.
A year ago, the Barrow rate was 11.1 percent.

Maybe the "numbers" show unemployment rates are down, but from the "people" perspective, this is not true. I know many, many people who are still working for work and they are skilled, intelligent, willing workers and they cannot find work. So the numbers are not accurate, it seems.

the unemployments number MAY be down, but when people GIVE UP looking for work, they are no longer counted as unemployed, even though they are.
