BOC to start budget process Monday

The Barrow County Board of Commissioners on Monday, March 28, will kick off the FY2012 budget process with a 4 p.m. workshop of the entire board.

The meeting will be in the Commission Meeting Room of the government’s headquarters and is open to the public.

Due to an expected FY2011 revenue shortfall of up to $1 million and additional funding requirements on long-term debt and the county’s retirement plan, the budget process may be the most difficult yet.
