The guard shack at the entrance of the Georgia Club on Barber Creek Road was the target of an apparent Molitov Cocktail on the night of March 10 or early March 11.
The shack was damaged by fire and smoke from the incident, along with the gate mechnism, lighting, irrigation and shrubbery. The total damage was estimated at $5,400.
A plastic bottle was found nearby with some liquid in it that smelled like an alcoholic beverage, according to Barrow County Sheriff’s Office reports.
An investigator for the Barrow County Fire Department was called to investigate the incident.
