The City of Winder Community Housing Committee will be touring the city in a bus Thursday, March 24, to locate specific areas for revitalization.
The committee decided in February, based on the housing and demographic information in the report, that it would target areas of the city that qualify for financial assistance, develop plans to repair or restructure historic homes built prior to 1939, and focus attention on acquiring vacant parcels available for redevelopment or building parks.
The committee is currently working on four areas of the city to revitalize and is looking for help from faith-based community members too begin a citywide clean up.
