10 charged for drugs; 6 include meth arrests

Ten people were charged by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office on drug charges last week, six of which included methamphetamine charges.

Charged were:
•Brandi Nicole Campbell, 25, 1085 Manning Gin Road, Bethlehem; possession, manufacture, distribution of methamphetamines.
•Randall Allen Dean, 27, 614 Thompson Mill Road, Braselton; possession of methamphetamine, driving with suspended license, turning position – signals required.
•John William Kemmer, 41, 651 Ebenezer Church Road, Jefferson; adult restraint law seat belt, possession of methamphetamine, contempt of court – superior (child support).
•David Perry Martin, 50, 651 Ebeneezer Church Road, Jefferson; adult restraint law seat belt, possession of methamphetamine.
•Bryan Patrick McNeese, 29, 852 Manning Gin Road, Bethlehem, two counts of possession, manufacture, distribution, etc VGCS possession of methamphetamine.
Marcellus Matthew Pineda, 23, 3135 Partain Road, Monroe; DUI/drugs, drugs to be kept in original container, possession of Xanax.
•Tammy Lynn Reece, 37, 715 Hog Mountain Road, Winder; DUI/drugs, following too closely.
•Christopher Thomas Seagraves, 24, 1080 Glen Mill, Statham; sale of methamphetamine.
•Sandra Denise Sims, 46, 105 Thurmond Road, Statham; possession, manufacture, distribution, etc VGCSA.
•Sonya Lynn Stephens, 41, 65 Creekwood Road, Winder; DUI/drugs, speeding, adult restraint law seat belt.
•Thomas Allen White, 24, 925 Park Creek Court, Gainesville; DUI/drugs, speeding, possession of marijuana, violation of window tint law.

The number of arrests for meth is quite disturbing. Our law enforcement officials, including the DA, need to get serious about putting those who manufacture and distribute this dangerous drug behind bars. Make or sell meth - go straight to jail - no fine - no probation - no second chance.
I'd rather have a pot smoker on the street any day over a meth head.

I agree. A meth head will steal everything you have. Meth is a huge problem here in Barrow County and something needs to be done.

I agree that they need to get tougher on the drug offenders. No more probation and no more fines.
How can we, as the citizens and taxpayers, get them to start getting tougher on drug offenders.
I would like to see the reporters do a little investigative reporting and find out why does the drug offenders who are charged with manufacture and distribution get probation and a fine and a shop lifter gets jail time and a fine. Why are the sentences so minor. From the outside looking in it seems that they don't want to get tough. How can the police do their job when the offenders are just slapped on the wrist. I want to see Winder and Barrow County prosper and have respect then to be just a joke to neighboring counties and cities.

Your right anonie mouse, the DA needs to be doing his homework. One of the 10 arrested has 2 previous meth charges and has yet to serve any amount of time. This same person has been sentenced to the work release program twice and obscounded both times. The punishment in Barrow county for abscounding is that they can not be placed in the work release program again. They don't even get a slap on the wrist. instead all of us hard working people get a slap in the face. Barrow county needs to take a look at some of the surrounding counties that really do ENFORCE the law. Instead all the meth heads stay or come to Barrow county who is doing nothing.

What is worse is you can tell the local authorities who is producing it and where, and they seem to refuse to do anything about it.

Shake my head, are you going to throw the hole country in jail? I agree with mousey up there, I'd rather have a pot smoker than a meth head any day! But wake up Barrow county and especially Auburn you have another real problem there and that is crocked cops out of control that can enter your house without a warrant just because they have a badge and some big egos!! Especially watch out for the bald headed cop he is on a witch hunt!! I would'nt open a business in Barrow county and I will never have anything to do with Auburn Georgia again. You have no rights people they have been taken away by the criminals you call Police. Your civil rights are gone, the police are busting everybody and writing as many tickets as they can for anything and everything not just drugs, Wake up. The next time you drive anywhere it is in every town,county, city and state. You have a brand new big shiney jail there in barrow county that has to be paid for, how do you think they are going to pay for that?? I am not a politician and everyone is telling me there is nothing I can do to change what is happening? But my son was arrested and put in your new shinning jail for having 3 grams of pot! Thats a tea bag! The policeman man "so he is called" made an illegal entrance into the house no warrant in hand because he smelt pot? How does he know what pot smells like? The 1st thing I would do if I was a politician is remove the "protect and serve" that is a joke! second all police officers would be constantly drug tested starting today! I feel sorry for the younger generation who can't even walk down the street without getting arrested there. This is how Hilter started out!! My flag is now upside down and I intend to return my honorable discharge because this is not what I fought for, IT IS TOO Late. You want to clean up Barrow county you better start with Auburn Police department !!

C A dont be mad at the police for enforcing the law, maybe you should have raised your kid better than to be smoking pot and he wouldn't have went to jail. as far as the "protect and serve" you talk about it's funny to me the trash people talk about the POLICE. BUT let someone steal something from you or break in your house and the FIRST call you make is to the POLICE??? when a family member passes away you want a POLICE escort to the grave site. WHY? sounds to me like "Protecting and Serving" the ONLY joke is you for crying about the Police doing what they were hired to do. RETURN your honorable discharge because this is not what you fought for? did you fight for your kid to break the LAW and get away with it? seriously??

how can a police officer enter your house without a warrant ? It's called probable cause and exigent circumstance. Through the officers training and expierence with dealing with narcotics, he can use this to enter the house where a CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED (yes pot is illegal and still a crime)before the perp (your son) can destroy the evidence.
I hate you dont like the cops, but move out of Barrow County. I would rather have a police state that protects me because I do nothing illegal than have lax deputies and officers out there doing nothing like Gwinnett

Yeah, they did that in Atlanta, murdered an old lady and then planted drugs there to cover it up. I'm glad you admit you prefer a police state. IOW, you admit to being a nazi.

If he had PC then he can go get a search warrant. He cannot enter on smell alone. Don't you remember in the Academy the example of an officer seeing a pot plant in the window of an apartment and he was required to get a warrant? As for the smell of marijuana only a Certified Marijuana ID expert can testify to the "smell" of marijuana. The smell may be ARS for an officer but not PC (unless he is certified). Try and get in that class and you will learn more. The offender can flush or burn that pot in the fire place while the cop is getting the warrant and there's nothing the cop can do.

If you think that PC can get you in without a warrant then you will have more lawsuits under your belt. Maybe I should show your post to Frank so he can see how big of a problem he really has with you. Better yet let’s show it to the plaintiff's attorney. It will show why you messed up.

Yes I do believe they need to arrest the whole country, if the whole country is breaking the law. Let me ask you a few questions 1) Have you or your family ever been assaulted by someone on meth? 2) Has your home or vehicle been broken into by a someone on meth? I guess not by your prior response. Let me tell you that both issues have occured to me and my family. In both instances the criminals had a rap sheet and were back out before the police could finish their paperwork. My father served this country as well as I, to maintain freedom for law abiding Americans not to allow individuals to break the law and get a free pass. As far as your son goes he broke the law period. And finally yes there are bad cops out there all across the country just like there are bad people everywhere but there are also good police officers and good people.

Someone charged with meth should get no less than 5 years, dealers should get 10-15.

I am a 14 year Army vet and even i think Marijuana should be legal, alcohol is more dangerous than weed in my opinion.

go to jail? They tell on sum1 else 4 doing the same thing.
Rather sum1 else go down than take responsibility
4 their own actions! And yes their are cops who take
advantage of their positions & any1 who dont see that
yet will surely get a taste at sum point. By the way u all
who get angry because others dont agree with yall need to
grow up!!! Its childish to call other people names because u dont like
their opinion!! Everyone feels different about everything & I think
that dissin on sum1 elses opinion is ignorant & it seems like yall are

as someone who did and kicked meth i think tougher is better because dealers get arrested turn in someone get out do this again again till they have to put them away,, you sell it DO THE TIME ,,,,,,to h&@! making cases

As someone that has had my family destroyed by the P.O.S. that make this crap, I would be VERY happy to watch every one of them go to prison for as long as possible!!!! None of the sentences are harsh enough. This crap is KILLING people. These people get a slap on the wrist.
As a mom, I told a meth dealer to stay away from my child or I would kill him. I was arrested for terroristic threats and had to pay a lot of money. What did the meth dealer get? Treated like a first class citizen, that's what.
BTW, the jerk who arrested me has been fired for beating his wife...hmmmm...
Pot? Puhlease. Should be perfectly legal - it is nature. God made it. Potheads do no harm to anyone...

I Feel your pain. My family was assaulted on our own property by a meth head and we were arrested for defending ourselves. The meth head gave a false police report to that same officer that you mentioned and we were arrested. After thousands of dollars in lawyer fees and untold grief for our family we now can get on with our life. I hope that officer goes away for a long time but then reality sets in and the dirt bag will just get a slap on the wrist.
