A Loganville man found himself on Harrison Mill Road, Bethlehem, with a gunshot wound to the head after he had been hanging out with some friends.
The man reported that he was at a friend’s house when a male acquaintance that he’d been told was angry with him showed up. The two men talked and shared a “joint” and the man said he assumed everything was okay between the two.
The victim decided to leave with the suspect and another man. The suspect drove the victim to an abandoned house on a dirt road and told him they were just going to hang out. The victim exited the vehicle, at which point the suspect assaulted him and shot him in the back of the head.
The victim said he got up and ran behind the house to get away from the suspect and saw the suspect and his accomplice drive away. The victim then jumped a fence, ran through a cow pasture, crossed a creek and ran through the woods to the Harrison Mill Road residence where the homeowner called the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office for help.
The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
