Barrow investigating arson fire

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office is probing a Wednesday night fire that appears to have been the result of arson.

A house fire in the 800 block of Kendal Park Drive was reported at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The resident of the house was able to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, officials said.

An investigation of the incident by the Fire Investigation Unit determined the cause was arson and the case was turned over to the BCSO.
