Ever rented or went to the movies and expected to see A Golden Globe winning flick but instead saw a film even Rotten Tomatoes wouldn’t touch? I think we’ve all been there before.
Being a fan of the horror genre, I can say that I have seen my fair share of corny, cheesy films in my 17 years. In a way, there is something beautiful behind that putrid pile of manure. It’s an interesting phenomenon.

I agree with Anonymous #1: The entire Evil Dead series is classic sharp-cheddar culminating with Army of Darkness which was basically just a comedy. It's even a "rookie card" of sorts with a young Bruce Campbell....one of the most underrated comedic actors of all time IMHO. Personally I think Fright Night falls into that catagory...it's almost a serious movie impersonating a cheese-fest but then comes full circle and takes itself seriously again but then right back to cheese! Plus you like make-up...it's got the absolute FREAKIEST vampire face I've ever seen....I don't scare easy in movies, but when Charlie's girlfriend goes into full vamp mode...LOOKOUT! I'm not into vampire movies (too IN nowadays) but definitely check out that classic 80's gem.

When I first moved to Winder in the 1990's, there was a video rental place on the main drag which I enjoyed going in. They had a wide selection of movies like the ones you are describing.

Tons of cheesy straight to DVD movies are churned out these days! Impossible to watch them all!
