Fort Yargo to hold winter carnival

Ft. Yargo State Park, Winder, will hold a winter carnival on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 2-5 p.m., featuring various family-friendly activities.

The event will include games, hayrides, a bonfire, toasted marshmallows, miniature golf, kids crafts, a visit by the Georgia State Park Gopher and more.

The fees are $5 per person for ages six and older; and free for those five and younger. Parking is $5. The event will be held rain, shine or snow.

Ft. Yargo State Park is located one mile south of Winder on Ga. Hwy. 81.
