I'm not used to weather occurrences like the one we had last week.
It’s why I can remember when we have them for they are so rare. We still talk about the winter storm that arrived in 1993. Ironically, I was a college student home on spring break at the time. I guess I should have headed for Florida that week with so many of my fellow students.

I appreciate your efforts, at least for the online edition. I was stuck at a friend's house thirty miles away, and the updates were invaluable in deciding when to strike out and brave the drive home to feed my pets. When I finally got here, it looked like the city and county did a yeoman's job clearing the major roadways, too. This was an unusual snowfall - I've only seen it come down like that in the Rocky Mountain west - and the ice on top sure didn't help.

I'm the Colorado-born coworker...Me and my trusty old Volvo steed were glad to be of service! All the snow and ice and bad driving almost made me homesick...almost...;)
