The Winder-Barrow High School FFA alumni will host a Chili Challenge Thursday, Jan. 27, from 5:30-8 p.m. in the WBHS cafeteria.
Each team should bring two-three gallons of homemade chili. Condiments and toppings are optional.
The event is open to businesses, clubs, school groups and individuals.
There is a 25-booth maximum and reservations are required. There is no cost to enter.
Tickets are $5 which will provide five homemade cups of chili and two drinks.
Ballots for voting with each ticket purchased will include:
•best chili in town •best theme and booth decorations •hottest •most authentic/original •most creative/unique •best veggie chili •best non-bean chili •best non-beef meat chili The WBHS FFA chapter will not have an entry and will not be judged.
Door prizes will be awarded and a silent auction held. Booth set up begins at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Judging will last until 7:30 p.m. with the silent auction continuing until 7:45 p.m.
The awards will be presented at 8 p.m.
Proceeds will be used to sponsor WBHS FFA members in CDEs, trips and livestock shows. Donations will also be accepted.
