It's not over: Three wrecks now on local roads

It's not over. There are three wrecks being worked right now in the county, and Barrow County Emergency Services is strongly urging local residents to stay off the roads.

"At this time, Engine 4 and Med Unit 4 are on the scene of a three-car pile-up in Auburn," said Lt. Scott Dakin, public information officer for the department. "The accident occurred on Atlanta Highway near County Line-Auburn Road and has temporarily shut down Atlanta Highway."

"Also, there is a two-car vehicle collision at Highway 316 and Highway 11," Dakin said. "We also have a vehicle stuck in the middle of the road on Highway 53."

He said these are all minor accidents with no injuries.

"But they show why we are saying 'stay off the roads.'"
