Other incidents under investigation by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office include:
•A burglary on Midland Court. A woman claims when she pulled into her driveway a black male exited her home. She advised officers what the man was wearing, but no suspect was found near the scene.
•A burglary report on Mackinaw Drive. A young woman claims that her house was robbed. Two televisions and a computer were among some of the items reported missing.
•A theft reported to the police station. A woman claims her cat was stolen. She claims that she received a call from a nearby animal hospital saying that the cat was released to the person who brought her in.
•An animal complaint on Hog Mountain Road. A man claims a neighbor’s dog attacked his own dog on his property. The attacking dog was picked up from the neighbors yard by animal control.
•An entering auto report on Kendall Park Drive. A woman claims that her GPS was stolen from her vehicle. She claims she left the car at a friend’s house with the doors unlocked to run an errand and when she returned the GPS was missing.
•A burglary on Haymond Drive. Deputies responded and noticed broken glass near a window at the rear of the home. It appeared that the subjects fled after breaking the glass because an audible alarm had sounded. The house is located near a high school and several juveniles normally walk the area.
•A burglary on Ernie Way. A woman claims she returned home to find damage to her door. After a walkthrough of the home, no property was discovered missing. Photos were taken of the damage to the door for evidence. The estimated repairs to the door are around $800.
•Simple battery on Dooley Town Road. A woman claims that she and her brother got into an altercation and that he at one point pushed her. A report was taken and the victim was told to call police if she had any more problems with her brother.
•A burglary on Ernie Way. A woman claims that her home was burglarized and several items were taken including a halfcarat diamond ring valued at $1000. A laptop computer and gaming system were also missing from the home.
•A theft by taking on Dean Way. A woman claims that her sons vehicle was removed from her property sometime in the night. The woman claims the vehicle had no insurance coverage or a license plate. The woman claims that her son’s girlfriend had previously come to the house and asked to borrow the car.
•An aggravated assault on Finch Road. A woman claims while in the car with her boyfriend they got into an argument and that he hit her multiple times and also shoved her head into the dashboard. The victim gave a full report and she thinks her boyfriend might have gone back to his parents house after the incident, but Officers were unable to locate him.
•A theft by taking on Scott Drive. A man claims his pistol was stolen from under the seat of his vehicle. The man claims one window is missing and the locks were malfunctioning on his vehicle. •A theft by taking on Rolling Ridge Lane. AmanclaimshisGPS/DVD monitor was taken from his vehicle during the night. The man claims he remembered locking the door to the vehicle. Officers found no signs of forced entry to the vehicle and the total value of the stolen items was estimated at $1800.
•A criminal trespass on Moon Bridge Road. A man claims he might have found a possible burial site on his rental property. Officers found an area of ground cleared from debris and lots of sting buried beneath it. Nothing further was found on site.
•A burglary on Nunnally Road. A woman claims several items were taken from her house. Upon inspection officers found glass from a broken window inside the home. The homeowner claims that both the front and back door to the residence were locked. Footprints were located outside the window of the home. A list of missing items was taken and pictures were taken of the damage.
•A damaged fence on Tucker Road. A man claims that his fence surrounding his land was cut. A hammer was found next to the cut fence and was taken by police as evidence.
•Entering an auto on Atlanta Highway. A man claims items were taken from his vehicle while he and his wife were in a store. The man claims he was being watched by a younger man while in the store, and when they exited the store they discovered the items missing from their unlocked vehicle.
•Entering an auto on Breckinridge Trail. A man claims his GPS was stolen from his vehicle. The man claims it was worth around $500. Upon inspection no signs of forced entry could be located.
•A criminal trespass on Brown Bridge Road. A woman claims her mailbox was damaged. The woman claims that it has happened several times before. Officers explained extra patrol would be sent to the area.
•A theft by taking on Atlanta Highway. A man claims that after his vehicle was towed following an accident the items he had placed in the trunk were missing. Officers explained that he needed to contact the original towing company in regards to the missing items.
•Simple battery on McElhannon Road. A man claims that his wife struck him several times. However he had allowed her to do so in the past. Both parties involved in the argument were found to be heavily intoxicated.
•A burglary on Midland Court. A man claims that his chainsaw was stolen from his tool shed. The man claims the shed had a pad lock but it had been found broken. The man claims he wanted to file a report so the county would be aware of the crime in the area.
•A theft by taking on Dee Kennedy Road. A man claims a tow dolly was stolen from his rented U-haul truck.
•A burglary on Jefferson Highway. A store employee determined that cigarettes and change were stolen from behind the front counter. Video surveillance showed the suspect break the glass behind the counter and place the stolen items into a duffle bag.
