Barrow County Emergency Services handled a total of 5,178 calls last week. With 1,276 calls being dispatched by Communication Officers.
•On Dec. 10, Barrow County EMS responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 82 and Pickle Simon Road. There were two cars involved, and one person was transported.
•On Dec. 13, Barrow County EMS responded to a 911 call reporting a Barn Fire on Christmas Avenue. A heat lamp had caused a small fire in a barn, but fire crews were able to quickly extinguish it.
•On Dec. 13, EMS officers were responded to an auto accident on Highway 211 and Pleasant Hill Church Road. Upon arrival two cars were found to be involved, and one of the vehicles was overturned. One person was transported to a local hospital for injuries.
•On Dec. 14, Barrow County EMS responded to a 911 call reporting an auto accident on 316 and Loganville Highway. A two-car accident was found at the scene. One of the vehicles involved had extensive frontend damage, and two people suffered injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
•On Dec. 15, Barrow County EMS responded to a 911 call reporting an overturned vehicle. Fire crews discovered the vehicle overturned off of Kilcrease Road. One person was transported to a local hospital for injuries.
