Officers were contacted about an alarm at a convenience store Dec. 8 on Patrick Mill Road. Upon arrival officers noticed the front door had been pried open and the interior window had been broken from the inside.
Officers cleared the store and nothing appeared to be out of place.
The co-owner arrived and walked through the store to look for stolen items. The key holder did not notice anything out of place but said the damaged window was behind the cigarette counter and estimated the total damage value to be around $2000.
After officers returned to duty they received a call from the store reporting that the ATM machine was missing.
Upon arrival back at the store officers noticed the bolts that were holding the ATM machine to the floor appeared to have been cut with a saw.
The store owner advised officers that the manager would be in the next morning and would give specifics about the machine including how much cash was inside.
The owner also stated that the security cameras did not have any recordings from that day, but he had recently checked the system and it appeared to be working.
