On Dec. 3, Winder Police Officers responded to a call on Georgia Avenue concerning Santa Claus.
Upon arrival, a man in a Santa Claus suit claimed he was being chased down the street by a resident’s dog.
The man said he was walking down Georgia Avenue greeting people and visiting houses when he came upon three juvenile males who began harassing him.
The man alledged the three boys then ordered their dog to “get him.”
The man said he was then chased down the street by the barking dog, which at one point bit and ripped the pants on his Santa suit.
After hearing the story from Santa, officers questioned the three juveniles males about the dog, who at this point was nowhere to be found.
The subject questioned claimed the other two males were in the house, and that his dog was leashed and restrained in the front yard when the man had walked by.
A witness claimed he saw a dog barking in the subject’s front yard, but he was not running.
The Winder Police Department’s investigation will continue.
