Bethlehem to be featured as 'Hidden Treasure'

These included a copy of Judson Moore’s songbook (he is the gentleman credited with naming the town after the Methodist Church established there in the late 1790s), newspaper archives and old photographs from the Museum collection.

Information on the history of Bethlehem and Barrow County can be found at the Barrow County Museum, 74 West Athens Street, Winder.

The museum is operated by volunteers from the Barrow County Historical Society and admission is always free.

Regular hours are Monday-Friday, 1 pm–4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. with extended hours for special events. Group tours outside normal hours are available with prior arrangements.
